Information

Mapetex is a flexible, anti-fracture/de-coupling membrane that is used to alleviate stresses within the substrate thus preserving the integrity of the tiled finish. It is constructed from a special non-woven fabric designed to dissipate the stresses created within certain types of floor substrates. It is typically installed over plywood, OSB, existing tiles, and concrete slabs before laying tiles or mosaics.
