There are differences between glazed porcelain, porcelain and polished porcelain.
Porcelain tiles are very hardwearing and durable with high water-resistant properties.
A glazed porcelain tile a has an opaque to transparent coating that has been fired to the tile biscuit. This type of tile has a vitreous (glassy, transparent, clear) covering on the face of the tile, which is waterproof.
Polished porcelain tiles are un-glazed tiles that have been polished at the final stage of production giving it a shiny, polished surface. *We would recommend sealing polished porcelain tiles for extra protection. Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator is a product we would recommend for this process.
