The recent renovation of a Grade II listed building in Warwickshire has been an exciting collaboration for the CTD Housebuilders team. Formerly the site of a school, the property was converted into two luxury residences which preserved the iconic Georgian features of the original building.
The developer required an interior look which complemented the property’s historic features while also adding a contemporary vibe which would appeal to home buyers. CTD Housebuilders were tasked with proposing a suitable selection of tiles to realise the developer’s ambitions.
The entrance and hallway boasted impressive original features in the form of the ornate archway and decorative staircase. To complement these features the room was fitted with small format Lisbon 146x146mm tiles in Light Grey Blue and White for a traditional and timeless checkerboard effect. Grey and White tiles were used to create a border for a tailored finish which evokes Victorian interior sensibilities. The result brightens up the whole space and creates a welcoming entrance area.
The bathrooms introduce a touch of minimalist modernity, and for that we proposed the
Traffic Light Grey and Dark Grey 600x300mm porcelain wall and floor tiles in a matt finish. The resulting look was chic, understated and calming – the perfect complement to the property’s natural effortless grandeur.
The developer was delighted with the result of their collaboration with CTD Housebuilders: “The development of this Grade II listed property required consultation with Heritage England, the local Conservation Officer and the client, therefore the materials we used needed to be sympathetic to the history of the property and of excellent quality.
